Alec Smith

Managing Director

After 12 years as a helicopter pilot and instructor, Alec has now been working in legal services for the past 15 years.

Traditionally, estates had been administered at an hourly rate with no fixed fees. This meant that there is no incentive for companies to complete the task as quickly as possible.  Many companies also charged for letters, emails and phone calls in addition. Sometimes a percentage of the estate is the basis for fees regardless of the number of assets and how much work was involved. Alec wanted a simpler solution for the families going through this difficult time.  He also wanted to offer the very best service possible. Valued Estates Ltd was established by Alec, to provide a fast, professional and personal fixed fee service.  Alec and his team continue to provide this valuable service to previous clients as well as new clients.

Alec is married to Sam and they have two children.   He still holds a commercial helicopter license and flies when time permits.

Jenny Sedgwick

Office Manager

Jenny is an experienced senior probate administrator and one of the friendly voices at the end of phone. She is an expert at listening to the unfamiliar situation that families find themselves in and then giving relevant, clear advice. Jenny is responsible for the everyday running of the office and ensuring that every family receives our best attention.

Jenny has a degree in criminology and is currently studying psychotherapy, working as a trainee psychotherapist in her spare time.

Kensie Daniels

Probate Administrator

Kensie is a probate administrator and has 5 years of administration experience within this field. She joined the team after previous experience within administration in the Pharmaceutical field. Always happy to help, Kensie is also now enjoying dealing with more complex estates.

Kensie enjoys spending her spare time visiting new places and learning different cultures.

Frankie Moran

Probate Administrator

Frankie is a natural experienced administrator, having previously worked for the Land Registry for a number of years. Frankie’s expertise in this area helps with those tricky property questions.

Frankie has two sons and enjoys spending as much of her spare time with them and her husband Jim as much as possible.

Sue Hennell

Probate Administrator

Sue joined us after a long career in banking. Sue’s attention to detail is appreciated by her many clients as well as everyone in the office. Always dependable, Sue is very quick to put families at ease and great at tracking down elusive documents and looking after the challenges of property sales.

Sue enjoys spending time with family and is married to Dave and has two grown up sons.

Emma Dixon

Probate Administrator

Emma is very organised and a natural administrator. She joined the team having previously worked in administration within the Hospitality and Recruitment industries.

She is a very willing member of the team and is always on hand to help her clients. Emma has a dressage horse that she regularly competes and dedicates her spare time to training.

Tilly Smith

Probate Administrator

Tilly’s confident and friendly personality is perfectly suited to that of an administrator. Tilly has worked in probate since leaving school and in that time has gained a wealth of experience.

Tilly enjoys spending time with her family including their dogs as well as travelling to exotic destinations across the world.

Lucy Carr

Marketing Administrator

Lucy is our newest member of the team and works on a part time basis. She has a wealth of experience in building relationships with clients and other professionals and is always happy to help no matter what the enquiry is.

Lucy is married to Rick and has three children. She is a keen hockey player as well as training to be a psychotherapist in her spare time.
